The Town of Brunswick was the scene of a devastating multi-vehicle accident on Sunday afternoon that claimed the life of a Buskirk man. The Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Office has launched a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident, which occurred on Grange Road.
Authorities reported that the crash took place at approximately 12:12 p.m. after multiple emergency calls came in about a serious motorcycle collision. Responding deputies and medical personnel arrived to find a heavily damaged motorcycle in the roadway, along with two other vehicles that had sustained significant damage. Debris from the impact was scattered across both lanes, forcing an immediate road closure.
According to preliminary findings from the investigation, the motorcycle had been traveling at a high rate of speed in the minutes before the collision. Witnesses at the scene stated they observed the rider passing multiple vehicles in a designated no-passing zone.
