At just 20 years old, Chandler’s untimely passing has left a profound impact on all who knew him.

Born February 17, 2005, Chandler was raised by his mother, Rachael Weinert, and father, Eric Hoover. A proud graduate of Reeths-Puffer High School in 2023, he was a young man full of promise and determination. He worked closely with his stepfather, Jeremy Griffin, at R & R Landscape and Supply, while simultaneously pursuing a vocational certificate in Residential and Commercial Construction, displaying a strong work ethic and dedication to building his future.

Chandler was known for his energetic spirit and love for the outdoors. Whether riding his dirt bike on rugged trails, navigating snowy landscapes on his snowmobile, or enjoying spirited drives with friends in his Audi from the local Audi Club, he embraced every moment with joy. His adventurous nature and deep connection to the natural world also included hiking, hunting, and fishing, all activities that brought him immense happiness.

Friends and family remember Chandler as a young man full of laughter, kindness, and unwavering loyalty. His humor and passion for life were contagious, inspiring those around him to live boldly and cherish every experience. His companion, Bentley, a White German Shepherd, shared many adventures alongside him and now carries the loss deeply.

Chandler’s family reflects the love he inspired, including his mother and stepfather, Rachael and Jeremy Griffin; his father, Eric Hoover; sister Morgyn Weinert; stepbrother Barrett Griffin; grandmothers Sue Weinert and Susan Pearson; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins who treasured him dearly. His close-knit community also mourns alongside his best friend, Cole Rust.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Larry Weinert and Joseph Hoover, who, family believes, welcomed him with open arms into heaven. This thought brings comfort amid the grief, reminding loved ones of the eternal bond they share.

A Funeral Service to celebrate Chandler’s life is scheduled for 11:00 AM on Friday, August 15, 2025, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services in Norton Shores, Michigan.
