The incident took place during a house party on the 14400 block of Des Plaines Street, just after 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2025.
According to the City of Harvey Police Department, officers were dispatched to the scene following multiple 911 calls reporting the sound of rapid gunfire coming from a crowded residence. Upon arrival, first responders encountered a chaotic scene, with injured victims lying outside the home and others attempting to flee the area in distress.
