The truck that went into the lake on big Island has been flying past our homes for months and months and months. Whoever was driving that white truck would go 85 mph through our neighborhood. The signs are posted 45 miles an hour. We have had many accidents on this curve and within this 1/8 mile of homes here in Rock Island city on big Island Road. We have called 200 times over the 39 years we have lived here and have even demanded daily police presence here due to the speeding. We have always said what if someone is going that fast and looses control? Well, now we know.
We want a speed detecting speed bump at the beginning and the end of our neighborhood. They can detect the faster the driver, the higher, the speed bump raises. There has not been one answer to stop these maniacs out here.
