Born on November 29, 1953, in Concord, North Carolina, Lynn was the son of the late Paul Hubert Shue and the late Phyllis Ann Shue. He grew up with a strong sense of integrity and faith, qualities that guided him throughout his personal life and professional career. Lynn was deeply rooted in his community and held a reputation for being approachable, sincere, and kind-hearted.
He is survived by his loving wife of more than fifty years, Patty Shue, with whom he shared an enduring partnership filled with love and mutual respect. Together they raised two sons — Ashley Wayne Shue (and wife Rikki) and Avery Lin Shue Sr. (and girlfriend Sheena Sherrill). Lynn was a proud grandfather to Avery Lin Shue Jr. (AJ) and wife Cami, Harlee Faith Shue, and Emily Madison Jones, all of whom were the joy of his later years.
Lynn is also survived by his brothers Mitchell Paul Shue (and wife Cindy), Norman Shue (and wife Deanna), and Douglas Shue (and wife Michelle), along with his sister Paula Hutcheson (and husband Jeff). He was preceded in passing by his brother Perry Lee Shue, stepbrother Ricky Allen Shue, and sister Julie Knight.

Visitation will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 10, 2025, followed by a funeral service on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis immediately following the service.
